Mingyuan Dong (Ming) is an award-winning industrial designer, technologist, and design researcher. She is passionate about creating interactive objects that foster seamless behavioral change, enhance well-being, and promote inclusivity for people of all abilities. She has received numerous design awards, including Gold in the 18th International Design Awards (IDA) and Finalist in the Human Computer Interaction International Design Competition (HCII). She is the author of design futurism novels: Not Sci-Fi and When a Robot Starts to Wonder , both exploring the relationship between humans and technology. As an interdisciplinary practitioner, she completed a triple major at UC Berkeley, is currently pursuing a Master鈥檚 degree in Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and works as an HCI design researcher at Brown University. She aspires to create multi-layered experiences that augment humanity across diverse worlds.
